My name is Carmen Rudd and I am the founder of The Consortium Lounge, I am a Wollongong girl born and bred and started my career working for my father in construction my role was administration finance and planning but I was so passionate about the construction side that then I went into developing spaces.
Going into small developments, accommodation, and serviced offices. The Consortium Lounge was born in 2020. The name Consortium means a group of people coming together for the same goal and although space is a big part of what we have to offer, it is the collaboration and community that is the core of our foundations. It is a space where knowledge and skills are shared, connections are made every day, a network within a network. Working from home can be isolating so to have a space where you can just pop in and get work done done without all the distraction is why co working is becoming so popular. It is a space where if you have an idea it can be tested through our program. It is a space were coming together you can connect, learn and grow, it is a place of belonging.
The Consortium Lounge is a wonderful and supportive community in Wollongong. Since joining, I have met so many like-minded individuals, particularly women who are empowered, passionate and striving to make a valuable contribution while still fulfilling their chosen purpose.
The Consortium Lounge is a fantastic place to work. Professional and friendly, with innovative programs, wonderful people and many Illawarra connections. Great atmosphere for quietly grinding away at work, creative brainstorming with others or holding private meetings, all in walking distance of everything you need down Crown St Mall.
